Scone Racetrack

Located minutes from the property, Scone Race Club is Racing New South Wales' premiere country based track. Newly constructed in 1994, beautifully cambered bends, spacious layout and quality surface makes it the equal of any track in the country. An "event not to be missed", the Scone Cup Carnival in May begins with the Scone Cup on Friday and a stand alone Metropolitan meeting on Saturday.

Plans are underway to further develop Scone as a premiere training facility with All Weather training tracks and new stabling facility cementing Scone as a jewel in the NSW racing crown.

Home Sand Track

Passionately designed and maintained by Jeremy, the home based track consists of an irrigated 700m round sand track with a 600m uphill chute rising 14m forming a 9 shaped track with a safe and quality surface. Horses work in both directions on alternate days to maintain balance on both leads.

The gentle hill aspect of the straight enables horses to work at a safe speed, while maintaining a higher intensity with reduced load on the limbs.

High Speed Treadmill

Jeremy has been fine tuning his methods on the treadmill for 25 years and is a huge advocate of them as a training aid. They are not used or seen as a labour saver to cut corners but a definite alternative to work on the track. Perfect for horses who can become over excited in training, recovery and lower concussive faster work, particularly for distance performers, Jeremy has seen the benefit of prolonging a horses career by keeping them sound and motivated.

Stables

With a variety of different style stables and yards to suit the individuals, all needs are catered for. Whether it be open covered sand yards, barn style or large rubber lined stables, air flow, safety and health remains the priority.

The stables are filled with quality shavings and fed by filtered rain water where possible.

Currently the number of stables and yards is at 20 with plans to build more in the coming months.

Day and Spelling Paddocks

One of the great benefits of a private training property is the ability to give horses the chance to spend recovery days from gallops and racing in large day paddocks. Enabling them to get their heads down on some grass in the sun cannot be underestimated in helping horses recover and race longer into a preparation than otherwise may be possible.

Walker

A standard in most stables is the walker! Horses use the walker after work as a cools down and most afternoons when in work. Those that carry on in the walker tend to have an afternoon walk on the treadmill as an alternative which also helps stretch the legs.
